Pink fact of the day:

Pink is commonly used for breast cancer awareness and many people associate pink with femininity.  In Japan, the opposite is true! Pink has a masculine association because cherry tree blossoms represent fallen Japanese warriors.



Healthy Pink foods:

Grapefruit : Curbs your hunger, helps boost metabolism, good for your skin
Salmon: It’s good for your brain, it’s high in protein, helps reduce heart disease
Radishes: Can help reduce body temp, helps break down toxins, helps indigestion
Watermelon: It’s hydrating, has good vitamin A that’s good for hair, can help prevent asthma

Healthy Recipe: Roasted Beet Hummus



»  1 small roasted beet
»  1 15 oz. can (1 3/4 cup) cooked chickpeas, mostly drained
»  zest of one large lemon
»  juice of half a large lemon
»  healthy pinch salt and black pepper
»  2 large cloves garlic, minced
»  2 heaping Tbsp tahini
»  1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

» Put all ingredients into a blender and have at it!
